“Jeena yahaan Marna yahhan……..”
“Jeena yahaan Marna yahhan……..”
It was Sunday morning, a bit relaxed day as every one takes it little easy from daily chores.

I got up almost after 5.00 past in the morning in double mind to go for my morning walk or not. One thought was to leave it and sleep for a while and the second thought that no I must go out and keep with my fitness regime. Second thought prevailed and as usual I was out my bed. I was in the park exactly at 5.20AM little later than usual.
Daily morning walkers were out and some of them even said that I was late. I nodded at them and accepting the fact yes I was late. One of them is the gentleman Mr. Narang from my housing society, who goes out very early in the morning for a walk and little bit of exercises. This schedule keeps him for his day in the High Court of Delhi. For me, I have taken the final call on retirement not owing to the opportunities not coming way but for the fact that I had suffered massive tachycardia attack this year in Feb. and it was followed by the ICD implant in May, 2010. Another reason to accept this phase of life was to pay a little attention towards my village and agriculture farm, which till recently was in the hands of my 90 yrs. aged father, who also suffered from Prostate and Urinary Bladder stone. He also underwent surgery and now requiring rest. Mr. Narang was highly critical of deep rooted corruption and the adulteration taking place in Food and Dairy products and all-round mismanagement by the government official. He said that he faces day in day out criminals doing these acts and law not able to take any action against since right from Inspectors/CMO, Police, judiciary, testing labs are in hand in glove. I told him politely not to worry so much as one can not do any thing since in India it is the population explosion and the society is trying to jump in for new style life ……. I reminded him of saying ‘Ek akela chana bhad nahin tod sakata’.
Haan ek baat aur ki ek bum insaniyat ka khatma kar sakta hai.

In the park, there are people from all shades of life young and old wearing good sporty dresses while a few sticking to old school of thought dresses. One would notice all types’ activities on like few will be doing Yoga, few will be doing jogging and people like me in the late sixties and more going in for decent walk. After the walk every one would sit up on the side walls of the water tank made by GDA but hardly in use since it has all broken tiles with no proper flooring now. I candidly remember that one of the walkers sitting over there asked if some can tell him that the song ‘abhi to main jaban hoon’ was sung by whom? One said scratching his grey hairs that it was ‘Zohra Bai’. A few said it wasn’t. Finally it was decided, who ever will tell the correct name would win sweets from the group. A senior person Mr. Ram Gopal Sharma ji was asked to give his verdict and for once or twice he tried to sing the song and finally he came out with the name of ‘Malika Pukhraj’ .

This type of liveliness was always there.
Other issues of political nature like corruption in high offices and political leadership and inflation etc. were always the centre of discussion. Besides great support and advise was also their for needy with out any charge.

This way life carries on and I wondered what a surprising change in life style some time in high and some time in low, thus keeps every one getting on as if “jeena yahhan marana yahhan, iske siva janna kahhan………”
