Japan :
Models admire a 200 million yen (US$1,817,355) gold Santa Claus in Tokyo Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007. Tokyo’s precious metals company Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo took three months to make the 42-centimeter (1 foot, 5-inch) tall seasonal figures using 20-kilogram (44-pound) pure gold and a total of 1.7-carat of diamonds that decorate the belt. Two 200 million yen Santa Claus figures will be displayed one each in Tokyo and Osaka, western Japan, until Dec. 25.
