It is worse than Taliban in literate Kerala
It is worse than Taliban in literate Kerala, where a lecturer's right palm has been chopped off by some assailants in full view of his family.

This incident was in retaliation for preparing a question paper with alleged inflammatory references to Prophet Mohammed. The lecturer, T.J. Joseph, 53, along with his mother and sister, was returning home from church when a gang of six waylaid his car and attacked him with an axe.
Joseph was professor of Malayalam in the Newman College, Thodupuzha near Kochi in Kerala. In the question paper for B.Com second year internal exams, he had used a passage about an imaginary dialogue between God and Muhammad, and the students were asked to comment. Certain Muslim organisations, assuming that ‘Muhammad' in the passage was Prophet Muhammad, took offence and staged protest rallies and clamoured for action against the professor. Stones were thrown at the college run by the Christian church.
When the issue became an issue, the college management had apologised and Joseph was suspended for a year after angry protests by Muslim organisations. Joseph is on bail after being arrested by the police in April.
The police have arrested two youth who are members of Popular Front.
By any standard, this is barbaric. Even in Pakistan, such things are not happening where the notorious Talibans are having a field day. It is shocking and outrageous, especially because it has happened in a state which claims to have achieved 100 percent literacy.
Condemn this in harshest of voices.
