Israeli Settler Runs Over Palestinian Boy
The so-called "peace process" is almost exclusively spoken about in the United States with references to "Israel's security." American presidents, politicians and diplomats only speak about Israel's security, but never is there even a token regard for the security of the Palestinian people.

This, of course, it not new. Zionism and Western support for the Zionist project has always disregarded the rights of the Palestinians as dispensable and not worthy of mention. This is why the Balfour declaration in endorsing the establishment of a Jewish homeland in Palestine spoke about the Palestinians as the "non-Jewish communities". The Palestinians at the time constituted nearly 90% of the population. But such odd wording - to refer to the overwhelming majority as the non-minority - let's us know that for Zionism the terms of references were never the indigenous Palestinians and their rights but the colonizers and their privileges. When Lord Balfour was asked how he could reconcile support for a Jewish state in a land almost entirely Arab with democratic ideals he responded that he knew it would require "non-numerical self-determination." Warp yourself around that Orwellian phrase: "non-numerical self-determination."
This same mentality of disregarding the Palestinians while giving a premium to Zionists/Israelis continues with the Obama administration. The cases are too numerous to mention here, but I want to just concentrate on Obama's rhetoric. If you listened closely to Obama's Cairo address you'll notice that the president specifically references the killing of Israelis, but only spoke vaguely about the far worse crimes against Palestinians. As the astute Angry Arab noted:
This is the most offensive section of course: he talks about the Palestinians without identifying who was doing those bad things to them. Look at this sentence: "have suffered in pursuit of a homeland. For more than sixty years they have endured the pain of dislocation." So their suffering is due to their pursuit of a homeland: so they should stop the pursuit and the suffering will go away. He then mention the "pain of dislocation." What is that o Obama? Is that like a shoulder dislocation? He refers to Palestinian reference to "for Palestinians to point to the displacement brought by Israel's founding" but never mentions Israeli wars, attacks, and invasions and yet he makes specific references to Palestinian violence thereby making it clear that adheres to White Man standards: that only Israeli lives matter. I mean, if you compare the killing and terrorism between the two sides, the Israeli side clearly comes out on top in terrorism, wars, and aggression.
For Obama Israeli suffering is worthy of specific condemnation and specific sympathy, but decades of Palestinian suffering is simply an unfortunate occurrence where blame for the suffering eludes us. It is almost as if the Palestinians suffer due to nature. But this isn't new for Obama. In the early days of the campaign he made the stunning statement (by American political standards) that "no one is suffering more than the Palestinians". But after the inevitable protest by the Israel lobby Obama came up with an addendum: The Palestinians are suffering, but their suffering is self-inflected. Such are the requirements of American politics.
Illegal Israeli settlers living in illegal Israeli settlements routinely attack Palestinians. Many of these settlers are religious fanatics. And their expressed goal is to make life so miserable for Palestinians that the latter will leave in frustration: fulfilling the settler goal of expanding Israel's borders. Thus Palestinian olive groves, farms, cars and homes are frequently destroyed by settlers. A mosque was burned down recently. And Palestinians routinely suffer attack. Here's a list of crimes just in recent months. And nota bene that these settlers often commit their crimes with Israeli occupation soldiers nearby, who are naturally indifferent to the Palestinians, and such crimes are met with impunity if not cheer:
A Palestinian mosque was set alight and vandalized late Sunday night in what police suspected was a "price tag" operation by nearby settlers wishing to protest Israel's West Bank policies...Israeli settlers burned Saturday morning more than 200 fruit trees belonging to Palestinians from the town of Seir, east of Hebron on the West Bank...Settlers opened fire and killed a Palestinian teenager who was throwing rocks at Israeli cars near the West Bank city of Ramallah late Thursday...Two vehicles in a Palestinian village in the northern West Bank were torched early Friday. The vandals, who have not yet been located, scrawled the words "price tag" on one of the cars. The incident was apparently carried out by settlers...A group of Israeli settlers stormed a Tulkarem village on Tuesday, blocking residents and school children from entering, locals said. (links)
And so on...
An Israeli human rights group gave Palestinians cameras to record such attacks:
And many Palestinians have been killed. But you'll look in vain to find a comment of Obama noticing let along condemning these Israeli crimes against Palestinians. But when Hamas militiamen attacked armed settlers, not civilians as Israeli calls them but armed settlers illegally occupying someone else's land, Obama not only personally-at-the-podium condemned the act at the White House but also went on to once again pay specific reference to Israeli suffering and condemned the act a second time before the United Nations General Assembly.
So the death of four Israeli armed illegal settlers necessitates two specific condemnations by Obama, but numerous and routine crimes and killings of Palestinians do not merit even attention. But this is well understood. American politicians have never cared about Palestinians and being apologetic toward Israel is almost innate for politicians seeking reelection. And it is understood further why Obama need to so belabor his support for and standing with illegal Israeli settlers. Midterm elections are near, after all.
So don't hold your breath that Obama will say anything about his:
