Israeli Foreign Minister Wanted for War Crimes
Former Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni has canceled a trip to London fearing arrest for war crimes. Livni was minister during Israel's war on the Palestinians on Gaza - an assault that killed over 900 Palestinian civilians, of whom over 400 were children. The United Nations Human Rights Council has accused Israel of war crimes and crimes against humanity - including deliberate killing of civilians - in its war.

Livni took part in every aspect of that war, and given the UN report is subject to war crime prosecution.
An arrest warrant was issued for her conduct by a British court in anticipation of her arrival. Livni was supposed to be a guest speaker at an upcoming Sunday event for the Jewish National Fund - pro-Israel group that promotes the country and development on stolen Palestinian land. Livni was also expected to meet British prime minister Gordon Brown.
Once the arrest warrant was issued, she canceled it all. But Livni is too embarrassed to acknowledge that she is a rogue individual wanted for war crimes and is a quasi-fugitive by canceling. So instead her office issued the entirely not-believable claim that all of a sudden "a scheduling conflict" has prevented from showing up to an event she has long committed herself to.
But then her office stated that "the opposition leader was proud of all the decisions she made as foreign minister during the Gaza war." If this is about scheduling conflicts and not war crime arrests, then why make the point about Gaza in the first place? Stupid spokesperson.
Israeli officials have been advised to avoid Britain, Norway, Spain, Belgium and other nations for fear that they'll be arrested. The de-legitimization of Israel continues. But Israeli war criminals remain welcomed in the U.S. which is always receptive to Israeli wars and crimes.
