Israel Responds with Testosterone, not Intelligence

The death of so many in Gaza will end up with a Hamas response far more deadly and then round and round this will continue. Israel and the US both are ruled these days with an iron fist by men of testosterone, but little intelligence.

Strategically, what the terrorists of September 11 could never have accomplished - the destruction of the Constitution, the collapse of the financial system, etc. - was finished for them by men with so called "balls" but very few brain cells.

With the world watching and with anti-Semitism on the rise (mainly, thanks to the Iraq war that Bush and the Neo-Cons concocted), a better move, a better strategy would be to respond with reason - since that has yet to be tried. Violence is an option that is always available, but it is an option that should be served by cooler heads, not as merely a knee-jerk reaction. The killing of so many people just created a whole new wave of violence in payback soon to come. And what will that accomplish? Nothing.

Consider how wisely Iran has handled itself in the face of US pressure, attempts at provocation, and even violence by the West. Iran did not respond in kind and the world is not on our side with regard to the Iran issue. I will repeat that: the world is siding with Iran (and Russia) and not the United States. How does that sound to you? Iran has accomplished through level-headed strategy a rather astonishing thing: it has reduced US credibility, and deprived the US of a reason for war without ever having to launch a single attack or risked any lives. So if dead bodies is all anyone wants, then by all means, keep on killing one another - because that is all that will be accomplished with violence and escalating the violence will simply accomplish more dead bodies faster, but no solution to a serious issue that requires a serious long-term approach.
