Israel Preparing for Large-Scale War

POLITICS. .

When the U.S Congress travels to Israel, which is the primary destination for Congressional trips, they often are riveted to hear about Israel's "tough neighbor" and take a helicopter tour so they appreciate such how small Israel and can then understand Israel's "concerns" when it further colonizes the occupied West Bank. But they also like to hear about Israel's upcoming wars. So they know where American taxpayers money is going, beyond the settlements.

And they also know their cue to take the floor and, all together now: Israel has a right to self-defense. Blah, blah, blah...

So a Wikileaks-released U.S. diplomatic cable from 2009 reports that IDF, Israeli occupation forces (and notice they are referred to as Israel Defense Forces in the same manner that the other defunct apartheid state also referred to its oppressive, occupying colonizing force as South Africa Defense Forces. Offense is made into Defense for these Orwellian regimes), chief of staff Gabi AshkeNAZI bragged to the visiting patrons that Israel is preparing for a large-scale war: "I am preparing the Israeli army for a large scale war, since it is easier to scale down to a smaller operation than to do the opposite." Yeah, it is nice that destroying another people is convenient for Israel.

In other related news: As Israel continues to be a militant nation that shows off its war prowess, the U.S. government is offended that Egypt would do likewise and thinks the Mubarak clients should take orders:

...the memos show, are over a wide range of topics, with the US pressing Egypt to focus its military toward terrorism, halting cross-border smuggling and helping out in regional crises. They also suggest that, to the dismay of the Americans, the Egyptian military continues to see Israel, its enemy in four wars spanning 25 years in the last century, as its primary adversary 31 years after the two neighbors signed a peace treaty.

"The United States has sought to interest the Egyptian military into expanding their mission in ways that reflect new regional and transnational security threats, such as piracy, border security, and counterterrorism," said a memo dated Dec. 21, 2008, released by WikiLeaks.

"But the aging leadership, however, has resisted our efforts and remained satisfied with continuing to do what they have done for years: train for force-on-force warfare with a premium on grounds forces and armor."

If the U.S. irritated, why not cut off $1.7billion in military aid?

And, lastly, the foreign minister of the Bahrain Protectorate opposes war. In fact, he opposes the very idea of colonialism. Not the actual practice, but the idea of calling colonialism colonialism: He recently an Arab newspaper that Great Britain did not "colonize us" but was merely occupying the island to protect "us". A massive U.S. naval base is also there just for the interests of the Bahraini people and no other self-interested reason. For all the lousy Arab clients of the West who lack integrity, this one takes the cake:
