Israel Airport Security: Worse Than You Think
A visitor to Israel once had her laptop shot: story.
You'll have to forgive the American media: their Zionism is so fanatical that they are enamored with everything Israeli and exercise no critical thinking when praising anything Israeli.

This is why the Israeli intelligence agency the Mossad has a reputation in America for being highly skilled and informed, the alpha-male of the intelligence and spying world.
But the real Mossad is a litany of mishaps and ignorance, and deadly errors. And as former C.I.A. officer Robert Bear once stated, “Let me tell you something, what people most err in in the Middle East, and I am responsible for my words to the end, is related to Israeli intelligence. To be sure, they can kill somebody in Paris or Rome or killing the wrong person in Finland or wherever else they did that in. To be sure they know Europe and Palestinians, and they know many things about Palestinians, but when it comes to the rest of the Middle East, I have not seen anything from their part that indicated their knowledge of those countries.”
And a former C.I.A. Stansfield Turner once remarked that the Mossad earns an A for public relations and a C for actual intelligence. The Israelis are great at marketing supposedly intelligence coups against Arabs as part of the psychological warfare in order to demoralize Arab opposition to Israel.
But the Arabs no longer but this notion. After the humiliation of the Mossad in Lebanon and in Dubai, the Mossad is no longer the feared apparatus it once was.
But such myths continues to abound in America where the political elite is keen to further its love affair with Israel. And one of the myths is that Israeli security airport models are something to uphold. Mere bullshit. Like the Mossad, private Israeli security firms trade on P.R. which does not any credible record. The Christmas bomber who nearly blow up an airline passed through an Israeli security firm-operated Amsterdam airport.
And now Israelis are trying to sell us their procedures, which are notorious for their racism, racial profiling, arbitrary interrogation and refusal to entry and general Zionist thuggery:
The New York Times:
Israeli agents focus on the travelers’ country of origin, their profession, visas that are stamped in their passports, places they have visited, people they know and the color of their skin...“My experience leaving Tel Aviv was by far and away the most unpleasant encounter I’ve ever had with airport security officials in the decade,” said Matthew Yglesias, a blogger with the Center for American Progress who said it took three hours last month for him to get from the initial security check at Ben-Gurion to the food court. “As best I could tell, things went pretty smoothly as long as you were Israeli, traveling with an Israeli, or traveling with some kind of well-established tour group.” Mr. Yglesias was traveling with a group of journalists. “The African-American woman in our group was taken off to be questioned. A bunch of us were told we couldn’t bring iPads on the plane,” he said. The Jewish member of his group “had the easiest time,” he said. “The black woman had the hardest time.
