Islamist Group Roasted Nigerian Policemen Like Animals

Islamist extremists are particularly barbaric. Their use of extreme violence to gain control over others goes beyond the pale, but there are no words to describe the kind of violence that they use to dominate or eliminate people who don't toe the Islamic line. At least their kind of Islamic line which is intolerant, oppressive and hate-filled. They love to chop people's heads off, throw acid on their faces, cut the noses and ears off their women, stone, amputate. Think of any horrific way of dying or torturing someone and they do it. Although it's not just extremists who participate in this kind of barbarity (the Iranian government still executes people by stoning) they are more likely to employ all of those hideous methods at some point in time.

And it's not just in Muslim majority countries that this happens. Take Nigeria, which is about equally half Muslim and half Christian. One al-Qaeda, Taliban-like Muslim extremist group called Boko Haram tried, but failed, to establish an Islamist state in northern Nigeria last year. More than 800 died in the violence that ensued. Some reports that have just been released by Nigeria's police force state that some of the 32 police officers who were murdered last July were actually roasted. Roasted! I guess we can add that to the list of barbaric methods that Islamist radicals utilize.

"The Nigeria Police Force was stunned at the terrible murder, in cold blood, of her personnel... some of these officers were slaughtered like animals, some roasted," the Nigerian police said in a statement, in the one-year anniversary memorial statement.

For the first time since the Boko Haram rebellion, The Nigerian police listed the names of the officers who died in the uprising in July last year.

“Boko Haram unleashed mayhem in northern states of Borno, Yobe, bauchi, Kano, Nasarawa and Plateau, spilling innocent blood, making widows and orphans of police families," the police statement read..

The group Boko Haram, is hell-bent on establishing shariah law throughout Nigeria and has some pretty antiquated, skewed views about western civilization including that the world is not round and that rain comes from Allah. But you can't reason with irrational, ignorant people who place no importance on science. There are groups like this all over the world, groups that want to establish a global caliphate, and are attempting to introduce shariah into western democratic societies. Maybe they aren't as vicious and brutal and animalistic as Boko Haram, or al-Qaeda or the Taliban, but you can bet your bottom dollar that they would, if they could.
