ISI Chief Stuns Opposition Leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, a prominent political leader of Pakistan’s leading opposition party PML-N, was reportedly snubbed by the Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) during the closed-door session of the parliament on Friday, May 13, 2011.

The in-camera session of the parliament was called to discuss the US operation that killed Osama Bin Laden on Pakistan’s soil while Pakistan’s intelligence had no information about either Bin laden’s presence or the US commandoes flying into Pakistan’s boundary to get the FBI’s most wanted terrorist. DG ISI and army chief of Pakistan’s armed forces had also been called to attend the session and explain their position on the issue.
According to The Express Tribune, opposition leader Chaudhry Nar Ali Khan rose to speak on the issue just when the question and answer segment was about to begin in the assembly. But DG ISI Ahmad Shuja Pasha stunned him in front of the entire parliament house by angrily proclaiming that Nisar Ali Khan had been targeting him lately because he had refused to grant a personal favor to Khan that Khan had asked of him. He said that he would rather not reveal on the assembly’s floor what favor Khan had asked of him.
General Pasha told the house how Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan’s recent tirades against the intelligence had resulted in embarrassment on his recent trip to the United States where the CIA chief reminded him that his own country’s opposition doesn’t trust him; so could the US trust Pakistani intelligence?
As Pasha finished speaking, it was expected that Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan would retaliate the comments in his turn. But to everyone’s surprise, Khan didn’t even rise from his seat, and sat silent. Later, he was even found praising the efforts of the generals.
