Inverse Relationship Between Education and Being A Sarah Palin Fan
Sarah Palin looks likely to run for president. The woman who did not even see fit to finish a single-term as governor, who has no basic knowledge of anything, and who offers nothing more than simple and petty lines actually thinks she's equipped to run the country. And recently told Barbara Walters that she thinks she can beat Obama.
Her appeal is hard to understand...if you think about. But don't think: Many Americans just like a simpleton politician who speaks as if they got a mouth full of shit (H/T George Carlin). Palin's anti-intellectualism is much prized by many Americans who want someone "like us" to run country forget that someone of their caliber can't actually run the country. And during hard times Palin's sneering at "the elite" is a great source of solace for many people who believe that Wall Street elites have run them over, government elites are over taxing them, and liberal elites in the media look down upon them. So down with the elite! And Palin is far and away from anything remotely elite in any sense.
That's her support. Palin plays to the lowest-common denominator. Bush did so as well. But even he and Karl Rove must be in awe of Palin's cunning political marketing for making them appear to be novocies. Bush is a Rhodes Scholar next to Palin. Bush was a C student at Yale (John Kerry, who was the "smart" kid, was actually a D average) Palin thinks Yale is a Danish cookie.
Her biggest supporters are the poorest educated Americans, no kidding: A new survey shows that Palin's standing declines amongst educated Republicans:

The country is becoming more and more educated every year, if Republicans bet on a declining demographic to get Palin nominated they'll be betting against the party's future strength with the increasingly educated Americans who will one day form the majority demographic. And that's stupid. But fitting for Palin.
