Well, this was the story title when i started working on it and before I could reach the middle of this story i thought to myself…who the hell am I to talk on behalf of entire India. I was indeed apprehensive about what exactly should India do? Then I thought i need to talk about this with my fellow bloggers from India. So i sent an email to see what's on their mind.

While i was patently waiting for responses and had prepared the following five points i started to receive responses. To my surprise all the responses seemed kind of frustration with the Indian government…same as I felt before starting the story. This clearly proved that India is united, no matter whether the likes of Raj Thakrey try to tear down the nation's unity.

1) The best and brightest of the Indian forces should be allotted duties to protect civilians not the corrupt and incompetent ministers.

2) India should use all its forces to attack terrorist training camps in Pakistan.

3) India should stop voting and giving power to people who don’t deserve it and who cannot handle it.

4) India should have special weapons and tactics police group to handle terror incidents in big cities.

5) India should provide decent accommodation to the police personnel rather than buying expensive cars for these ministers.

Yes, indeed India should snap all ties with Pakistan, till the issue of terror-across-the-border is solved. No way are they going to get away with, we-have-not-done-it-attitude, and we-are-also-sufferers of the same kind of terrorism. A rouge state like Pakistan, will understand only hard-talk, and we have to do it.

According to me, the borders should be completely sealed; the train from India to Pakistan should be temporarily suspended, till Pakistan shows us some concrete steps. Former United States secretary of state Madeleine Albright has very rightly described Pakistan as an ‘international migraine’. So, how do we combat a migraine? We take a bitter-pill, or isolate ourselves. Pakistan has to be economically isolated by the world-community. Today the target is India, tomorrow it will be some other country. It is indeed sad, but it is true, that for the follies and incompetence of its government, the aam-admi (common man) of Pakistan has to suffer the scorn of the world. This is indeed a wake-up call for us and also for those peace-loving people of Pakistan to do something in concrete terms to pressurize our respective governments to take steps to combat this.

Regarding bureaucrats being guarded by commandos, they should be stripped off it, and we should ensure that a public-movement with the help of the media is launched to make them aware, that not them but the general public needs protection. The pay-scales of the police and officers-in-uniforms have to be revised, state-of-the-art equipment is given to them (the pre-historic rifles should be buried), and any possible help should be given to them.

Last but not the least, bumbling politicians and bureaucrats should be shot…(I call upon all the professional-supari-killers to gain some brownie points by doing their fellow-country-men a favor)

(1) I don't want war with Pakistan or Bangladesh. I don't even want peace with Pakistan or Bangladesh. I want NOTHING to do with Pakistan or Bangladesh.

Break of ALL RELATIONS - social, diplomatic, economic, rail, road, air. Cut off ALL contact, telephone lines, postal and courier, television. Close our embassy/consulate in Pakistan/Bangladesh and throw their's out from India as well. No visas to be issued to any Pakistanis/Bangladeshis, no Indians to go to Pakistan/Bangladesh...

TWENTY FOUR HOURS. Seal our borders such that not even a dog is able to get across, by land, sea or air, this way or that.

(2) Police force to be brought up to the level of our armed forces - in arms, modernization, payscales, housing facilities, childrens' education. Politicians to no longer have control over the police force in terms of appointments, promotions, transfers. Bureaucrats to have no control over supplies to any of these forces. A body of the best and brightest of retired defense and police personnel to oversee the forces with NO interference from either the Neta or the Babu - a Security Council with a

maximum tenure of two years. Three of the best of the country's auditors to audit their accounts and submit their observations to the Supreme Court for perusal. Accounts to be made public after a period of one year, particularly those relating to procurement. Likely or suspected irregularities to be probed by the Supreme Court and prosecution/punishment be initiated against the guilty regardless of whether they still serve at the time. Reservations on the basis of religion or caste to be phased out of any of these forces within a period of 4 years.

(3) Security cover to politicians and bureaucrats to be decided by above Security Council - whether or not it is required, and what level is deserved. A full stop to all unnecessary expenditures for the Netas and babus, eg. new cars, servants, foreign jaunts, huge bungalows.

(4) Bureaucracy to be ruthlessly removed from the citizens' daily lives, except where absolutely necessary (there are more people today going after the poor roadside vendor than after Dawood's people).

"India should avoid all the relationships with Pakistan till we get those responsible for terrorism in India and operating from Pakistan.

I am no expert in dealing with issues pertaining to terrorism. However, as acommon man, I feel that it's time to remove the loopholes existing in the intelligence structure. A Federal Police Force is going to serve our purpose in a big way. However, let's tackle the main obstacle to make such efforts successful. Let's rope in real politicians, who really care for Indian citizens. So let's use our votes in a judicious manner.

But I think the greatest threat to our nation are the

psuedo-secularists. They are the real culprits. They first never let you frame real policies and later give rise to wrong impression via their wrong views. How can we eliminate the terrorists when likes of Arundhati Roy start defending terrorists and that too even in the face of Supreme Court's conviction?

Then there are some secondary issues. Like providing better opportunities to people trapped in poverty etc. So that they do not become tools in the hands of terrorists.

1) There should be no communication gap between the older and younger generation in every aspects. Right from religion, culture, sex…whatever it is. Actually this will help us building a very positive and enthusiastic generation.

2)Government must take care of the martyr’s families.

India should make Pakistan accept its right to raid and attack terrorist camps in that country. This would be possible only if a comprehensive agreement is reached between the two countries in the fight against terrorism. Pakistan has said that it is not the government of Pakistan that is responsible for the terror acts, but individual groups are; implying that groups in that country are responsible.

So, there is nothing that can prevent the government of Pakistan from evolving an understanding and concluding a pact with India in the matter, except some sentiments prevalent among political groups in that country.

It is this right to take direct action on terrorists that can effectively bind the two countries as true neighbors and lay the foundation for a long lasting good relations between these two important countries of South Asia.
