Indians Should Kill VIP Syndrome!

What is it that prevents the VIPs from sharing the road with commoners? Taxpayers’ money goes to waste in making security arrangements for VIPs that serve no purpose other than helping them to show off and bully the people.

Why can our politicians and bureaucrats not learn a few lessons from their Western counterparts who freely mix with the crowd and do not make a show of their status? It is time Indian VIPs shed their egos and learned to identify with their more plebeian brethren. It's really surprising that even in the time of grief they do not miss to be in the league of VIP syndrome. Sometimes back a stampede occurred at a famous temple because of sudden arrival of a VIP soul, who wanted to have a VIP darshana.

Well, we too are to be blamed for this VIP culture that dominates the Indian landscape. It's our mindset that perceives anyone surrounded by security guards as a "bada aadmi". Had we honoured attributes that define a man or woman of substance,these hollow people would have never been provided god like stature !!!It's time to treat the man involved in some real work as a VIP than treat our netas or movie stars as VIP.Only because down to earth people care a damn for VIP tag.

I am really unhappy with the mentality displayed by our students.Most of the students preparing for IAS/PCS dream of owning a 'Nili Batti' or 'Laal Batti' car.Why? Because that will ensure a VIP stature in the eyes of common man apart from giving them a licenses to trash all rules and regulations.Have you noticed that the moment a MLA finds a berth in Cabinet there is a great hurry on his/her part to own a red beacon car !!It's quite clear that most of them including the students are more interested in cheaper things rather than being governed by desire to bring positive changes in our system.

Well, when are we Indians going to rise above this VIP syndrome ?
