I Joined the Smartphone People
I have resisted the temptation since the first iphone came out. So it wasn’t an impulsive move.

I needed to change my plan. I felt that I might as well change my phone. I did not know what 3G and 4G were. I had only seen an iphone from a distance. I did not know how far I was from civilization.
I went to several T-mobile dealers. I went to a T-mobile store. I spoke to T-mobile customer service on the phone. I checked Amazon.com, Best Buy, Tiger Direct, etc.
I lost two days in my research.
Finally, I decided to buy a phone from a T-mobile store along Sunrise Highway. Yeah, the G2 phone I settled for promised to put me on sunrise highway.
It was like buying a car. No. I spent more time there than I spent when I bought a car. The only difference was that they had no chair for customers to seat and no coffee to soothe your nerves.
But the customer assistants were very helpful. They were also very informed. They made sure I bought not just the phone but also the accessories and insurance. By the time I was done, I had spent enough money to buy a piece of land in Florida.
When I got home, I felt like a man who had gone to a night club hoping to pick up a regular girl but ended up with a super model. Even when she is naked on the bed, the man will sit by the night stand and admire her.
I left the phone bare on the table and admired it. The phone could do so much that making a phone call was the least on my mind.
And I am told that I will spend the next few weeks discovering many more things the phone can do. So if you don’t hear from me in a while, you should know why. I may be lost in the world of apps.
