Standard & Poor’s cut its credit ratings on the airline and left the door open for further downgrades, also cutting ratings for peers AMR Corp. and Northwest Airlines Corp. Their stocks rose, however, as oil prices retreated.
Netflix Inc., up 24 cents at $26.97
The online movie-rental firm’s profit crept up 4 percent, beating analyst expectations as it signed up 168,000 new customers while spending less money to attract them to the service.
