Housewife sets husband on fire
We have heard enough stories in which housewives become victims of domestic violence, especially for dowry. But this case is the other way round.

In a rare instance, a housewife in Mumbai set her husband on fire after she suspected him of being involved in an extramarital affair. While a case of attempted murder has been registered against the woman, she has registered a case of dowry harassment against her husband, who works as a disco jockey.
This is the case of a woman, Jyoti Jaiswal, 31, a resident of Yashwant Nagar, Vakola, in Mumbai. Now she is in VN Desai hospital as she had sustained 30 per cent burns. Her husband Rajendra sustained 55% burns and has been admitted to a private hospital.
The bizarre incident occurred at the Jaiswals’ residence.
Rajendra’s father, Tribhuvan, told the police in his complaint that his son and daughter-in-law were involved in an argument over household issues and that she had accused Rajendra of an extramarital affair. The couple soon got into a heated exchange that ended in a scuffle. After that, Jyoti brought a bottle of kerosene, emptied it on Rajendra and set him on fire.
