Helen Mirren, 61, reportedly was offered free plastic surgery and botox treatments ahead of the big Oscar night. Here's the clincher - She turned it down! Good for you, girl!
The Best Actress Oscar winner for the film 'The Queen' was given a pre-Oscar goodie basket that contained vouchers for having facial work done.
But Mirren - displaying the poise and grace of the Queen herself - preferred the au natural look to that of the plucked-tightened-Botox slave.
She said:
I'm very vain, which initially made playing Elizabeth Windsor in all those tweeds pretty daunting. But I'm not fond of all those needles and scalpels. I'll try to get away with make-up, jewelry and a nice frock.
Considering that she's sixty-one, she looks amazing! She doesn't need plastic surgery or Botox. Let the woman BE! There are very few women who don't succumb to the whole Oh-I'm-Over-35-I-need-Botox Hollywood brigade. Mirren is a beacon of hope to all the ordinary women who prefer to age naturally and gracefully.
