Handicapped association wanted Railway coaches reserved for disabled persons
Handicapped people are neglected class in India. Very few privileges are provided for them by government and very very less attention are given attention by public. Even most of the cases they are treated like burden of country or 'alien'. Everybody shaded tears after Amir Khan's "Tare janmin par" but few of them have sympathy for them.

Railway ministry from Lalu to Mamata declared privileges and reservation for women. Fare reduction for senior citizen specially women, special ladies train, "no fare needed for girls upto degree course, women special coaches (MEN NOT ALLOWED),. Even yesterday I see there will 50% reservation for women in rail soon. Good but neglecting handicapped is like we are in the Greek age where handicapped boys were thrown from the top of mountain.
In US there is no reservation for women but there are reservations for them in every public place, even they enjoyed reserved parking place!!(if other people parked there they will get a slip for fine $250)
Now you will wonder why I am am pointing out this..because I am a brother of handicapped person. I saw all throughout my life how my parents face challenges for him. Yes I want reservation not only them but for their guardian’s too. Because they are so helpless!!
Members of the Federation of Tamil Nadu Handicapped Association on Tuesday held a protest demonstration in front of the War Memorial in support of their demands. They wanted disabled-friendly railway coaches and said that the conversion of unreserved disabled-friendly coaches into reserved ones was not adequate. In a letter to the association, chief commercial manager S Anantharaman said: "Southern Railway understands your distress over the issue. It is pointed out that this order has been given by the Railway Board and the instructions are being merely carried out.'' He said that reservation of four berths for the disabled was done with the sole aim of providing more comfort and convenience to a physically challenged person. Anantharaman assured the association that their demands would be looked into at the earliest.
