Hamas Behind U.K.'s Targeting Of Israelis With War Crimes

I find it more than a tad ironic that a group of elected terrorists like Hamas, who are more than guilty of committing war crimes of their own, would actually enlist U.K. attorneys to charge Israelis with war crimes. I fault Britain more so for actually falling for the bait and actually going through with it. Palestinians are doing their best to shape a negative world opinion about Israel with stories that are often peppered with lies, and the world falls for them, hook, line and sinker. No doubt there have been tragedies on both sides, but people choose to only see the Palestinian side of the issue.

During the 3-week war (and at other times) Hamas was guilty of war crimes including firing rockets into civilian areas. Human Rights Watch also said:

..Hamas deployed fighters in civilian homes during the conflict and fired rockets from bases close to civilian areas, both violations of international humanitarian law.

Hamas also constantly uses human shields, which is also a war crime, knowing Israel is less likely to knowingly fire upon civilians:

So, in spite of the fact that Hamas is very obviously guilty of war crimes, no-one seems to care much about that fact, and are instead focusing their energy exclusively on Israel.

So we have Hamas actually admitting that they instigated the whole war crimes investigation by the Brits.

Hamas acknowledged that it masterminded the campaign to pursue war crimes cases against Israeli politicians and military officials in Britain and other European countries.

The group, considered to be a terrorist organization by the United Kingdom and the European Union, says it has been working with lawyers to have the Israelis charged with war crimes in connection with Israel’s Operation Cast Lead last winter.

According to reports Monday in two major British newspapers, The Times and the Daily Telegraph, the Islamic organization is acting to have Israeli leaders arrested in the United Kingdom.

And apparently it's not just England, Hamas is interested in:

The Times quotes Diya al-Din Madhoun, head of the Hamas committee set up to coordinate the campaign, who said the committee had “all the political and military leaders of the occupation in our sights,” although he did not specify future targets. He told The Times that “This has absolutely become our policy.”

According to the newspaper, the committee compiled cases against 1,500 Israelis and is encouraging victims to file charges against Israelis in Britain, Spain, Belgium and Norway.

I just find it extraordinarily hypocritical of Hamas to target Israelis as war criminals when they are even more guilty of war crimes, with videos (like the above) to prove it. It's a little like the proverbial pot calling the kettle black.
