Hail the action hero Amitabh Bachchan
Big B was nearly lucky to have a near death experience while shooting for a stunt scene. At the sets of Teen Patti, Amitabh Bachchan did show some daredevilry.

At the age of 67, the level of confidence and energy is remarkable for somebody like Amitabh Bachchan. The Padma Shri awardee superstar couldn’t stop to film the scene all by himself and ended up impressing the whole action team.
Breathtaking shot
According to close sources, Amitabh insisted on to shoot for an action scene without a body double. The megastar was cautioned by the stunt director Armin Sauer about the risk but Amitabh tried it enthusiastically.
Reportedly, he was pushed by a racing car at a very high speed. He jumped on to hold on to the windscreen until he collapsed to reach to Sauer. However, it did panic everybody and impressed Sauer who is a German action director who has directed for action movies abroad for many years.
Amitabh’s professionalism
It is confirmed by Leena Yadav, the director of Teen Patti, that Amitabh was reluctantly allowed to do his action scenes by himself, in spite of a warning. She said that he even refuted to have any security wire works and cables yet ultimately perfected the shot in the first take.
Leena said that every possible safety precautions were installed for the action-packed scene. Amitabh was given allowed only after Sauer rehearsed the shot with the stuntman.
“He took all the precautions to ensure that Amitji didn’t suffer even a scratch,” said Leena. Sauer also praised Amitabh as “professional, committed actor who’s still keen to improve every day despite being in the business for decades”.
The recent applaud
Amitabh was recently honored by British PM Gordon Brown for his cinematic contribution as he described him as one of the “greatest talents” of our time. Amitabh was in UK to receive the highest recognition.
Brown glowingly said, “It is a pleasure to be here with Amitabh Bachchan. I talked to him just as we arrived. I was saying that I had 4 million viewers in a TV interview. I asked how many people will watch his next film and he said 500 million people. That shows the greatness of this man.”
