A Jordanian security official says a Palestinian gunman who shot himself after wounding six people in Jordan’s capital last week has died of his injuries.

The official says 19-year-old man died at a hospital on Tuesday, a day after undergoing surgery. He spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation into the shooting was continuing.

The attacker shot the six people and turned the gun on himself when police tried to subdue him.

Police are investigating whether he had links to extremist groups after initially saying he had none.
