FYI: When crossing the U.S. border, do NOT allow your wife to lounge in your Speaker Box.

Women. You can't live with them and you sure the hell can't live without them, but just a little friendly advice: When crossing the border from Mexico into the United States, do NOT let your Mexican wife lounge around in your SUV custom made speaker box. You might say, "She likes it", and that may be true, but trust me, the U.S. Border Patrol just won't understand how truly cozy these little custom boom box areas are, they won't find the humour, they won't give you $200 to pass GO, in fact they tend to frown upon these types of playful Mexican antics.

BROWNSVILLE — A Customs and Border Protection officer discovered a woman hidden inside the speaker box of her husband’s SUV in an apparent immigrant smuggling attempt.

The CBP said Christopher Sean Protho, 36, of Fort Worth, was taken into custody along with his wife, a Mexican citizen, after she was found crouching inside the speaker box behind the back seat of the Honda Odyssey he was driving on Sunday.

Protho was being held pending an initial court appearance on immigrant smuggling charges. His wife, from Matamoros, did not have immigration papers to enter the U.S. and was in federal custody awaiting deportation proceedings.

The speakers were wired and working when the SUV was stopped at the Brownsville and Matamoros International Bridge.

If after crossing the border she still wants to hang out in your shared mega watt, ultra mod, state of the art sound portal, it's cool, it's all good; just make sure you keep her front and center until after passing U.S. Border Patrol inspection, unless of course you happen to hold a U.S. generated Get out of Jail Free card.
