Future of Indian Cricket - No signs of good fortunes

SPORTS. .

India, once again cleaned up before semi-finals. This situation will never change and will go on. We Indians are highly emotional and treat every indian players like god.

Look at our Indian players, When Sachin is needed the most to bring in solidity to our batting lineup, he does not want to represent his country. He can play in IPL and league matches.

Harsha Bhogle making things worse, goes on the roof to criticise upcoming bowlers like RP Singh and Ishant Sharma.

When Indians are not playing well inspite of their chosen teams why not give a chance to SreeSanth and Yadav and Irfan to bowl with fire power.

Even player like Jayasurya is still in the scheme of things and Srilanka never found any risk of their youngsters missing the chance. Ganguly has always made himself available. In IPL he was one of the top scoring batsman and not to forget he fielded with lot of passion and took unbelievable catches. I am sure Indians do not want Ganguly to play for the country anymore. This sort of stance, is not helping our country at all. VVS Laxman just because he is not a good fielder, he was never chosen to play shorter version of the games. He turned old just by sitting on the boundary lines cooling his heels. Dravid, the most dependable who would drop anchor throughout the innings and let other batsman come and perform. He too, is left out from the scheme of things.

What the current players have achieved by representing India at the cost of players like Laxman, Dravid, Ganguly, Kumble, Sachin and not to forget Sehwag. Many of these have suffered badly because Indians want to push in youngsters.

Everytime, we talk about playing these senior players in, they talk about their longevity into the future of Indian cricket. Why not raise fingers to the prospects these youngsters can bring and live up to the promise and expectations of a cricket loving nation.

From the records, we can just find out that these youngster despite being given ample chances have never contributed to the teams fortunes and their consistencies are missing and what to talk about getting into winning habits. Go to the past, players have come out of their retirement, and contributed to the teams winning ways.

I would still maintain, play Irfan Pathan instead of Yusuf Pathan. Irfan has got a cool head because he combines sound technique with aggression. Yuvraj and Raina are hitting like millionaires and Yusuf is also one of those.

Ganguly says that Yusuf Pathan if made to open the innings it would do real good. How can that be possible because, he is highly inconsistent, he delivers only once after 25-30 matches. Vijay is out of sorts when opening the Indian batting line especially facing good bowling attacks. Gambhir is totally out of touch.

Rohit Sharma is good but needs to be contributing more and we have seen in IPL too, he is the alone man fighting for his team chances and nothing different when he is playing for the country. Why can't Yuvraj and Raina play around Rohit Sharma's batting. Zaheer and Ashish Nehra are far away from their actual form. Still, we are not playing the 3rd seamer.

Captains never hear the advices from Indian counterparts. Our senior players keep on shouting on top of their voices to make this appropriate changes and nobody is listening to them.

It is quite clear that IPL matches are just showbiz entertainment. Non Indian players come to India to make fast money in 45 days time. Just think highest number of sixes and a good catch, you end up getting a prize money equivalent to man of the match award.

Foreign players who never performed in IPL are doing great job when representing their own countries in world cup matches what does that mean. Cricket tournaments like IPL are very much like WWF which is never close to originality, it is all fake. It is just fooling Indian public and getting money out of poor Indian public.

They never play seriously and contribute their real value for the team they represent. Take for instance, David Hussey who couldn't contribute in any of the Knight Riders innings throughout the IPL, goes on to hit 4 sixes in an over and that too of Jadeja - a bowler who has been the most consistent of the Indian lineup.

We can remove these 4 foreign players position for the upcoming Indian players to make a mark. In case, we have 8 league teams representing the tournament that means, you are upstaging a tournament at the cost of 32 indian players fortunes in a domestic tournament too, So when, these rest of the lot get an opportunity to play and build their match winning confidence. Even their chances of making to the team should be performance oriented. Play better cricket or quit the tournament, that should be the motto.

Coming back to Indians, they do not want to play sensibly but play out of thier minds. They try to dominate the opposition and end up on the worst loosing side.

Agreed, when it comes to indian batsmen adapting to short pitched bowling, they are the worst. I would rather say, why are Indians refraining from giving back the same taste of their oppositions medicine on attacking with short pitch stuffs while bowling. Let the opposition know, when they hurl short pitched deliveries at their opposition, they too might end up on the receiving end too.

India are into a worse situation. They are tigers on the paper but stand nowhere when it comes to their contribution.

Our past players and their contributions are totally forgotten. Players like Sunil Gavaskar, Gundappa Vishwanath, Farukh Engineer, MAK Pataudi, Mohinder Amarnath, Dilip Vengsarkar, KapilDev and so many. These players have always praised the current and upcoming players but we forget their contributions.
