Forte De Neemrana
A fort, which is situated at a sudden turn on the Delhi-Jaipur highway, surrounded with blunt hills and standing at somewhat height. Not explored by many delhi-ites, but a common resort for the foreign tourists who want to smell a bit of Rajasthan. It takes a journey of two and a half hours to reach the place from Delhi.
As you are about to reach, the site doesn’t give you an impression of a royal fort ahead. But as soon as you take the elevated road to the fort, you get the feel.
You have the option of visiting the fort for a couple of hours, for which you have to pay some visiting charges. Or you can opt for hiring a room for a good stay. The cost of a room starts with a good Rs. 1500 for one night. It ranges upto Rs. 15000 depending upon its size and location.

I would recommend a day and night stay there so as to absorb the flavor of the place. The fort expands to a vast area and you might have trouble finding your room. But in this way you can come across some hidden areas of the fort.
In the day time, you can chill out with some bear while taking a cool swim in the pool situated in the middle of the fort. A side Jacuzzi will definitely squeeze stress from your body and rejuvenate your senses. The next thing that you would want to do is have some lovely Rajasthani food which has already been laid down for you in the hall, just near the pool. The buffet would offer you a large variety including 8-10 dishes and 4-5 deserts. Gulp the food some fine wine and you are all set to take a good afternoon nap. The evenings generally start with sound of some Rajasthani folk music. You might get lucky if they have arranged for a music concert for you. It can be a blend of tabla and sitar..who knows.!! Dancers might perform for the tourists and you can surely join them and try copying their steps.
Another way of spending your evening at Neemrana will be taking a dip in the pool and playing chess which is laid at the pool side, with a glass of whiskey.
The dinner served is as good as lunch, after which you can spend some nice time on the terrace, gazing at the stars and chatting away into the wee hours of morning.
You can have a good night’s, rather good morning’s sleep after this and wake up to a smiling and shining sun at the Neemrana fort.
