Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic has told a UN war crimes court his genocide trial not fair
Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic has told a UN war crimes court his genocide trial is unfair and has asked for another delay.

In a motion released Tuesday, Karadzic said the Yugoslav tribunal has accepted 1,500 statements and items of testimony from earlier cases centred on the Bosnian war without giving him a chance to cross-examine the witnesses or test the facts in court.
The admission of evidence from previous trials presumes it is correct, he said. That "violates the fundamental tenets of fair criminal trials," which says the defendant "is cloaked in the presumption of innocence."

Judges have given prosecutors 300 hours to present their case against Karadzic. The court is under pressure from the UN Security Council to wind up its final trials and shut its doors.
