A black Columbia University teacher who reported finding a noose on her door is suing the New York City school for firing her after a plagiarism investigation.
Clinical psychology professor Madonna G. Constantine argues in papers filed Friday in state Supreme Court that her discharge was arbitrary, irrational and unauthorized.
She wants the court to reverse her firing. Columbia spokeswoman Marcia Horowitz says she hasn’t seen the lawsuit and cannot comment.
Constantine reported finding a noose on her office door last fall. Police said they never learned who put it there.
