Made Popular Aug 19 2008
Egypt :
Fire has erupted in Egypt’s parliament but there is no word on casualties or the cause.
Thick black smoke is billowing over downtown Cairo, as flames shoot from the second floor of a building where parliament’s upper house is located. The building used to be a 19th century palace.
Dozens of fire trucks are at the scene, exacerbating gridlock in the capital during rush hour.
Police say the extent of damage is unknown.
