Father Charged With Raping Daughter In Front Of Mother

A father is supposed to protect his children, to keep them safe and warm, clothed and fed. He is their strength, their armour, someone to look up to. But some fathers, somewhere down the path of fatherhood, veer in the wrong direction down a path of darkness. Rather than protectors they become predators, engaging in one of the most vile acts possible: raping their own children.

42-year-old Mohammed Chaudhary (a lab technician)is one such father, subjecting his 14-year-old daughter to unspeakable acts, while his wife was at work and his two sons were at school. This happened during the day on January 21, 2010; but what happened when his wife returned from work at the clinic Chaudary runs, that evening, is horrifying.

Things took a turn for the worse when the angry mother confronted her husband. “He locked us in the house and raped my daughter in front of me for three days.’’ Her sons, she added, initially did not know all that had transpired. With every passing day, the situation was growing from bad to worse.

Eventually the sons realized something was wrong and helped the mother and daughter to escape. Chaudary was arrested shortly thereafter, and has been charged with a variety of crimes including rape, criminal intimidation and confinement for 3 days or more. What father would do that to his own child is beyond comprehension, although the man obviously has problems. As a Muslim, he was allowed to take a 2nd wife last year, and in 2009 was accused of having killed a man he believed was her lover. He was acquitted of the crime. I can only assume he was guilty and that karma has finally caught up with him.
