Fanaa screening not allowed in Gujarat

ENTERTAINMENT. .

While extending support to the Narmada Bachao Andolan, Aamir Khan may not have imagined the price that his movie 'Fanaa' would have to pay for it in Gujarat.

The associations of cinema and multiplexes in Gujarat have decided to cancel the screening of the film, disappointing many of Aamir's fans.

None of the 22 multiplexes or 425 cinema halls in Gujarat will screen the film.

The BJP leaders have clarified that they want the star to apologise to Gujaratis for his anti-Narmada comments. The screening will be held only at this cost.

A month after Aamir advocated proper rehabilitation of Narmada dam suferers, the anger of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party strongly supporting the project is still evident.
