Failed Pakistani Teen Suicide Bomber Swears He Will Try Again
Most young boys and teenagers aspire to be something when they grow up. A fireman or policeman, a doctor or lawyer. Maybe their goals aren't so lofty and they'd settle for a job that can support themselves and a family, if they ever get married. Still very admirable. At least that's what young kids in the West want. But there's a whole different mentality when it comes to young men being schooled in extremist-led madrassas. They would rather train to be terrorists than play soccer, and dream of being suicide bombers than soccer players.

Pakistani teen Fida Hussain is one of those. A mere 14 years old, he strapped on a suicide bomb and went to a Sufi shrine intent on blowing up pilgrims. He wasn't the only one. 42 people were killed and about 100 were injured in separate attacks at the shrine. Thankfully, his bomb failed, and the only thing he was able to blow up was his hand, after he threw a grenade which landed nearby. Hussain was livid that he was unable to detonate his suicide bomb, since his only goal in life was to be a martyr. Khalid Mahmood, a policeman at the scene of the massacre, said the boy was shouting "Let me go, I want to be a martyr. I want to send all you policemen to hell," as he was being apprehended.
Another young boy was also apprehended, both of whom were poor and uneducated, apparently just what the Taliban like to recruit to do do their dirty work. The uneducated ones are easier to brainwash into becoming suicide bombers, and Hussain was well indoctrinated. According to Mahmood, he also shouted: "You are all accomplices of the enemies of Islam who are bent upon eliminating Islam and Muslims. If I get a chance, I will again strike as a suicide bomber."
The Taliban's class of Islam believes that worshipping at shrines is un-Islamic, and those who do have often suffered the violent consequences of doing so. There is no tolerance amongst extremists, and they won't be happy until everyone believes as they do, or are dead. Hopefully they will lock the boys up for good, so they don't have a chance to do it again.
