A disgruntled worker at a Boeing plant said he cut electrical wires on a $24 million Chinook military helicopter because he was upset about a job transfer.
Thirty-three-year-old Matthew Montgomery of Trevose faces 10 months in prison or more. He pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of destroying property under contract to the government.
Federal prosecutors say the vandalism in May caused more than $110,000 in damage _ not counting the two days that Boeing closed the suburban Philadelphia plant.
Prosecutors say Montgomery was working his last shift on the Chinook assembly line when he disabled the helicopter.
