Amitabh starrer, Eklavya - The Royal Guard, has got a U certificate from the Censor without cuts. Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Eklavya is a violent family saga about honor, deceit, revenge with lots of bloodshed thrown in.
Amitabh Bachchan plays the title role of a Royal Guard whose primary duty is to protect the royal family of Devigarh, Rajasthan. This is where the tale of deceit and revenge unfolds from.
The film Vidhu's return to direction after 'Mission Kashmir' and, besides the senior Bachchan, also stars Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Balan, Saif Ali Khan, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Raima Sen, Jimmy Shergill, and Sharmila Tagore.
The music score has been done by Shantanu Moitra, who also did the chartbusters of 'Parineeta' and 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai'.
The multi-starrer is slated for a release on February 16 this year. We wish that the movie brings in accolades for Chopra the way his last two - 'Parineeta' and 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai' - did.
