Two different things?
Two different names for the same thing...? Does it even matter to us whether or not its same or different?... I say, it does matter most of the time, and it doesnt matter too, again most of the time...
Two different things?
Scientists of the world would say two different things (hopefully), and people other than scientists would mostly say they are the same. Thankfully this school of thought is decreasing day by day.
Not that it makes any difference though, both are equally important!
An ecosystem they say is made up of biotic (living) and abiotic (non-living)factors, well...so is the environment. The only difference is, in an ecosystem the abiotic factors which partially mould the existence of the biotic factors are essential to their survival. Whereas in an environment, the former contribute to the
detriment of the latter...(i dont think the scientists would agree with me on this one, but since here i dont mean 'environment' by their definition; thats not an issue.) Environment here means...our social surrounding and how it affects us.
Imagine the beach on a Sunday evening, crowded as hell...the biotic factors wandering among the abiotic factors like envy, hatred, lust, love, anger, joy, resentment, wholeness etc...etc...
People - (the biotic factors); burden themselves with all these feelings (the abiotic factors), most of which arise due to materialistic choices, preferences and possessions, or due to worldly relationships...which ofcourse have no subtle end. After all this said and done, we still do care a bit too much about our "environment" and never enough for the "ecosystem" within the environment around us. If we did care for 'nature' and strived to do our "little bit", wouldnt the world definitely be a much better place to live in...?
