Dubai Police Arrest Flight Attendants for Sextexting
the impressive work cracking the Israeli Mossad assassination in Dubai, the emirates police force is back to its usual work: going after fornicators.

During Dubai's boom years, the police force was restrained in enforcing draconian 'morality' laws since such conduct would have been in conflict with Dubai's aspiration to become a night-life hedonistic center. You cannot promote a seven-star hotel and then tell unmarried couples not to have sex in them.
But since the global credit crunch has put a hold on the 'good times' with the emirate almost defaulting on tens of billions in loans, the new found fiscal conservatism has allowed for the reemergence of social conservatism.
Many of the foreigners have left Dubai and the ruling family has been humbled and is more dependent on domestic support, and in that regard they have allowed the police force to enforce previously dismissed laws against fornication in order to placate the conservative native populace in Dubai along with the religious clergy. And so the police force have.
A while back, a young British couple were arrested after they reported a rape by the hotel staff. Instead of being consoled, they were also made to be criminals because they confused to sex and alcoholic consumption.
And now this:
"Two Emirates Airline cabin crew have been jailed for three months for exchanging lewd text messages. RS, 42, a flight attendant, and EB, 47, a cabin services supervisor, were convicted of “coercion to commit sin” after sending each other sexually themed SMS messages, according to court documents released yesterday. The pair, both Indian, were sentenced to six months in prison and deportation by the Dubai Court of Misdemeanors in December."
The sanity force in Dubai must cannot wait for the 'good times' to roll again so that this obnoxious, regressive and Medieval police force to be pushed to the side lines once again and learn that there objectives lie elsewhere while private life is...private.
