Draft electoral roll for ensuing BTC election published in Assam (India)
Draft electoral roll for holding the ensuing second BTC general election has been published in diffrent district HQs of BTAD areas with January 1, 2010 as the base year.It has been known that as per direction from the Assam State Election Commission, draft publication of the electoral roll for ensuing second BTC general election has been prepared and is available for public view in all the Circle Offices and BDO offices in BTAD from February 25.It needs mention that the BTC election will be conducted by the Assam State Election Commission, not by Election Commission of India.The Deputy Commissioners of the BTAD districts had been made Returning Officers of the the districts.
According to N.B.Wari,District Election Officer Udalguri district,claims and objections will be received till March 12/10 and would be disposed off on March 15/10.The final publication of the electorate roll will be made later along with the schedule for the election.He also said that in Udalguri district,electorate roll had been prepared for ten BTC constituencies namely -31 No.Khoirabari (ST);32 No Bhergaon (ST);33 No Nonoi Serfang;34 No Khalingduar (ST);35 No Mwdoibori;36 No Harisinga (ST);37 No Dhansri (ST);38 No Bhairabkunda (ST);39 No Pachim Serfang and 40 No Rowta (ST) with 785 numbers of polling stations in all
