Does education have any role to play in one’s genius?

In the light of our Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) we are set to think about some aspects related to education and search for talents in different field of our activities. In this connection we are set to think of, ‘Is Genius out of question? Should we keep ourselves searching in the spheres of games and sports? O no, leaving aside its effort to searching around science, literature and other arenas, our government is least interested in extending its field to the world of spirituality.’ It is just unthinkable. But aren’t we supposed to know a little about it? Let me share my experience with you all.

Education is one thing which we are to get in gradual phase to build up our career. Genius is different and it is what a few people have by birth. Genius is a natural power and that one is born with unusual originality. So, is there any need for industry and application behind the development of one’s genius?—That was the question raised by one student to one’s spiritual teacher.

To begin with one day the Master said: “No. why should a man of genius depend on education? He won’t go by any set of standards. He will do nothing by exercising of judgment. I’ll rest for so much time or work for so many hours—nothing of that sort. He’ll in his own way fall silent and in his own way manifest himself. Why should he be persevering?

Why is perseverance required? Has he to learn or earn something? He won’t be required to learn anything. Earning is never his concern. He’ll work in the usual way—one requires some rest after a spell of usual work. That rest he will have. He’s no need for determination. It is required by those who are learning. They will have to get down to the job with the time to spare. When will the man of genius have time to learn or earn?

Education is, no doubt, a factor in understanding a genius. But that doesn’t help much to speak out in the manifestation of one’s genius. A genius may or may not be educated; it won’t hamper his going deeper and explaining his realization. One should have met such an exception, an extra-ordinary one to expound the essence of truth.

There are various kinds of genius we are likely to come across in our life. We simply overwhelmed with his dedication and creativity. There are, no doubt, unique things to know about them. In brief, one should be enough talented to go deep into what a great genius expounds. This is perhaps often a great genius is understandable long after his death.

“There you are! If one has a natural capacity, where is the need for perseverance?”—was a question of that student to his master. The master said, “Absolutely no need. Well, say now. You make me speak, so I have to sit down. I’ve set myself to explain things to you in general. Otherwise there is no need to sit down now. I speak and speak while on the move and go my way. You say, ‘We can’t cope with that.’ I’ve to sit down somewhere. Sitting I’ve to explain things to people in general. That’s all there’s to it.” The teacher finally added—‘How can I make things easy intelligible to you unless you ask me questions and allow me to help you delve deep!’

The student requests everybody saying, “Please try to realize what I cherish at heart since long. It’s all to enrich people in very many ways. Do co-operate to enhance the spirit of human welfare.”

In this stiff-torn world, let us be united to think about no religion except spirituality. Spiritual science should be developed with an aim to attain world peace. Our government must pay due attention to such a genius also, to counteract so many scams and endless corruptions in our motherland.
