Sheriff’s deputies shot and killed two people in a gunbattle on an Indian reservation in Southern California’s Riverside County.
KCAL-TV reports that the shooting occurred sometime around 7:30 Monday night in the hills above the Soboba Casino in San Jacinto after a man and a woman fired on deputies. The deputies returned fire and killed the pair, who have not been identified.
The TV station says no deputies were injured.
Police surrounded the casino to see if anyone else in the area was armed. No others have been found.
