Democratic Action Alert: The Imperial Presidency of George W. Bush and possible legal responses
At 10:00 a.m.,on Friday, July 25, 2008 United States Judiciary Commitee is scheduled to hold a hearing on "The Imperial Presidency of George w. Bush and possible legal responses." The topic is not to be based on impeachment, but is hoped to put pressure on the same United States Judiciary Commitee. Currently the Judiciary Committee has before it 35 articles on impeachment introduced on June 10, 2008 and an additional article of impeachment introduced on July 15,2008. All of the articles for impeached were introduced by the Democratic Representative Dennis Kucinich of Ohio.

Judiciary Committee Chair Representative, John Conyers, has made it clear that this is a preliminary hearing concerning, NOT IMPEACHMENT, but rather seven years of Imperial Presidency and serious, credible allegations of gross misconduct by officials within the Bush Administration. The desired outcome of the hearing is still, to make it as much as possible about impeachment, with hopes of then insisting upon, and receiving an official impeachment hearing against not only President Bush, but also against Vice President Dick Cheney.
Elizabeth Holtzmen served eight years as a Congresswoman and on The United States Judiciary Committee during the Watergate Scandal. She has made claims that the Senates Intelligence Committee's June report, including two Republican Senators votes, confirmed that President Bush abused and deceived his Office and the American Citizens into entering the Iraq war. Although Kucinich's additional 35 articles for are extremely valuable and grounds for impeachment, the deception about the war is undeniably the most serious one. Unbeknown to most citizens, President Bush and Vice President can still be impeached towards the end of their terms, and technically and legally are impeachable even after leaving office.
According to research performed by CNN, 71% of the American public disapprove of the Presidential administration. 64% of the voters claim President Bush has abused his powers. Of those 64% , 14% claim the abuse does not warrant impeachment, 33% percent claim the abuse does rise to the level of impeachable offenses, but should not warrant impeachment, and 53% stated not only did the abuse rise to the level of impeachable offense, but surpassed it, and would vote for President Bush's immediate impeachment and removal from Office.
From the outside looking in, it appears President Bush, in regards to the Iraq war, is finishing a fight his Father, George Sr., could not complete during his own presidential term . President Bush, after the tragically horrific 9-11 attack, has found ways to enter and invade practically any country at free will by using his concrete alibi "America's War on Terrorism."
