Terrorists have carried out a serial bomb attack in New Delhi this evening as the city was getting ready to celebrate Diwali following the weekend.
A massive explosion rocked New Delhi's busy Paharganj area killing at least 10 people according to reports. The blast took place in the main market in Paharganj at around 5.38 pm, the fire brigade sources said. Minutes after the attack in Paharganj area, Sarojini Nagar was hit. Many casualties are feared there as well. Our cartoonist Ankur's father was near one of the blast site - Gupta Flour corner, a popular hangout in Sarojini Nagar. He further adds, one girl sustained severe injuries where her left leg was blown apart.
This seems to be the handiwork of terror forces from across the border from Pakistan chosen to carry out these terror attacks in the time of a major Indian festival - Diwali.
Update: Govidpuri and Okhla have been targeted as well. Number of people killed reported to be close to 40.
