'Darling': Ramu's another ghostly affair!

Ram Gopal Verma's upcoming venture 'Darling', slated for a September 7 release, stars Fardeen Khan and Isha Koppikar as the married couple while Esha Deol plays the dead lover. It will be Fardeen's second movie after 'Bhoot' in which he will have an encounter with a ghost, but this time as his lover.

According to Ramu:

'Darling' is a romantic thriller and it is tough for me to define the genre of the movie.

Another notable fact is that for the first time filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma would be working with Pritam and Himesh Reshammiya. Slashing rumours that the duo has not joined hands to come up with a soundtrack, the album would feature songs that have been exclusively composed by the two professionals independently.

The movie has a typical Bollyood story, involving an illicit affair, mysterious death and an eerie revenge. Aditya (Fardeen Khan) - living with a beautiful, traditional wife (Isha Koppikar) at home and a stunning wildcat girlfriend (Esha Deol) at work - is a playboy. The going is good, until his girlfriend shocks him with the news that she is pregnant. He confesses to her that he cannot leave his wife while he leaves his girlfriend devastated. She flies into frenzy. A brutal fight ensues, in which she accidentally dies only to return as a ghost. And she will stop at nothing until she gets her revenge.

It seems that the earlier flop horror flicks like 'Darna Manaa Hai' and 'Darna Zaroori Hai' have not tipped Verma enough on his ghostly undertakings. However, we hope that this time 'Darling' produces some horrifying wonders for Verma.
