Current Icon - Sachin the Legend - Promising future Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina
Dear Sachin,
I noticed something in the final while you were batting.
I thought the way you got out in the final, was an issue to be given a second thought. The way you stretched forward to the bowl you got the edge and lost your wicket.

This is my understanding and not sure how much of it you would agree or it could be you have a different kind of ideas or different approach looking at this issue.
I will just try to share my thoughts and would request you to please go through it.
Consider this as just a spectator's observation.
When we are stretching and the bowlers trying to hit hard on the deck, it is difficult to get a clear measure of how much height the ball will shoot up. It all depends on the strength of the bowler and the hardness of the pitch.
Stretching forward and smothering the spin is fine because you are stopping the ball doing unexpected things. But, with pace bowling, I would say you have to stand tall on the length of the ball and then play.
I am aware that you are the master of this game but you are too a human and can make small mistakes that could be due to circumstances which you face. It was a match full of stress and a huge challenge to get our country the worldcup back after 28 years.
This I found when I was watching Virat Kohli batting after you got out and it made me think that Kohli was getting on the top of the ball and then playing his shots especially fast bowling.
It could be possible that by mistake, you got out committing to this shot. Although, even once Virat Kohli also tried to play the same way as you did but got lucky as the bowl didn't find his edge of the bat.
Congratulations Sachin, though it was a teams effort you stood well ahead in terms of scoring runs. Even, you have a great record in world cup appearances.
Thanks Indian cricket team, you have given the biggest dream to this world and have achieved it with great distinction.
You got us a reason to smile that even our country can achieve all the highs in Indian sports events. This would surely bring lot of countries close to each other because of this achievement.
Sports brings lot of goodwill, respect for each other and the experience is phenomenal...
Bravo India... You did it and prove the world once again...
