In a Sept. 15 story about tests confirming the presence of the H5N1 strain of bird flu virus at a poultry farm outside Lome, The Associated Press reported erroneously that this was the first outbreak of bird flu in the West African nation of Togo.

Togo had an outbreak of the same bird flu virus last year.
