Media assumes new role
A deep decline in the standard of media in India has been seen in the last few years, it applies to both print and electronic media. It’s very clear that they have an ideological bias. Section 19 A of Indian constitution cites about Freedom of Speech. But what Indian media is doing is a pervert use of that right. Media nowadays in India is becoming group of some sycophants who are taking this profession as business for making money and publicity.
One noticed correct behavior when, for instance, Indira Gandhi got married or when the Mahatma’s funeral took place. Dignity and decorum were observed. To say that times have changed and with the change in times reportorial behavior is bound to change, is to make a mockery of journalism. The fall in standards is there for all to see and it needs to be arrested before journalism is seen not as an honorable profession for the education and enlightenment of society and the common good of all but as a commercial venture where the bully, the pusher and shover comes out the winner.
There are 32 channels in the India and 62 more are lined up. Some top news channels are Star News, CNN IBN, India TV, Aaj Tak. In my opinion India TV is on the top of the fake channels. Look at INDIA TV and all your imaginations will look pedestrian with what they can come up with. Other day I was just switching TV channels and by my Good luck I stopped at India TV and the breaking news was how Aliens are stealing our cows—UFO ne Aasmaan main khinch li gaye. Plot of their story was some cows went missing from few villages of India and according to their research Aliens love milk. Can you imagine??? I am sure if they read this blog they will send their aliens to kidnap me.
Latest one from their court is report shown on 9:00 AM, 6th June, India TV telecasted the information and report on the re-marriage of Taliban terrorist Baitullah in Waziristan, Afghanistan. In between this report, pictures of Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin performing his nikaah had been inserted amid constant background talk on terrorism. Lately India TV has given written apology to the Prime Minister of India, in which they agreed that they have faked the operation.
Recent events must serve as an eye-opener for media and for the people who are watching and apprizing this kind of stuff on the channels. In fact people should organize and give those people a bit of dust
