Colombian police say they have captured the second of two drug-trafficking twins who were among the country’s main cocaine shippers.
Police say Miguel Angel Mejia was captured before dawn Friday about 60 miles west of the capital of Bogota.
His brother, Victor, was killed earlier this week in a police raid.
The U.S. government had offered a $5 million reward for information leading to the capture of each alleged trafficker.
Interior Minister Carlos Holguin says Mejia’s capture is important not just because of his alleged involvement in drug trafficking but because he and his brother had created an armed band.
