Coke overdose killed Ike Turner
Late Rock 'n' roll pioneer Ike Turner's demise has been
given an official cause. The autopsy report released yesterday holds that Ike

Turner died of a cocaine overdose.
The San Diego
medical examiner’s office confirmed the 'River Deep Mountain High' singer’s
death was caused by “cocaine toxicity”.
The report also listed hypertensive cardiovascular disease
and pulmonary emphysema as "significant and contributing factors" to
his death.
The 76-year old legendary musician was found dead at his
home in San Marcos, California,
on December 12. If we look back at his past life, Turner had battled an addiction with cocaine since the late
1960's until this addiction finally took his life in 2007. He even went to
prison for using drugs and could not attend his own Rock n' Roll Hall of
Fame induction because he was doing prison term.
The music
legend was married four times but he was more famously known as Tina Turner's abusive husband.
Turner married singer Tina Turner in 1958 and by 1972 they won a Grammy
for their cover of ‘Proud Mary.’
