C.I.A., F.B.I., and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Targeting Law-Abiding Muslims
A former Marine sergeant's, Gary Maziarz, efforts to share government intelligence information with a Los Angeles terrorism department resulted in the public disclosure of intel.

The reports complied by three government agencies; Federal Bureau of Investigation, Central Intelligence Agency, U.S. Immigration and Customs; reveled that the federal government has been compiling dossiers on American Muslims simply for being Muslims not for any specific actions.
Gary Maziarz said there are "dozens of files" on Muslims and Arabs living in the Los Angeles and San Diego area.
"Most of the people were from Los Angeles. The ties they had to San Diego were, like, maybe they had a house down here or a relative or came down to visit or went on vacation here,” stated Maziarz.
Several of the reports are on the meeting spots of "people of interest" such as Mosques, businesses and their travel plans.
The F.B.I. had previously stated that it had no active program monitoring law-abiding Muslims and Arabs. The record as made public by Maziarz testifies that the reality is different with the F.B.I. and other government agencies watching over many law-abiding American Muslims and Arabs and their institutions and businesses.
F.B.I. spokesman Darrell Foxworth stated in an e-mail: "The FBI does not monitor the lawful activities of individuals in the United States, nor does the FBI have a surveillance program to monitor constitutionally protected activities of houses of worship."
Such words will probably not do much to inspire such confidence in the Muslim community since the Bureau had previously issued similar statements.
The problem with this program is a lack of accountability and no strict guidelines. The government should not have the right to monitor and open a file on anyone who is not acting in a manner that warrants such a act. And warrant is the opportune word.
