Christmas Commercialism: Let's Take The McDonald's & Burger King Out Of Christmas This Year!
Princeton's lexical database, "WordNet" describes the word 'commercialized' as the following:

To exploit for maximal profit, usually by sacrificing quality. Organized principally for financial gain, "Christmas has become a commercialized spectacle!"
And people let me tell ya', Princeton's WordNet really hit the nail on the head!
Folks as the late great P.T. Barnum would say, "let me introduce you to the greatest show on earth" otherwise known as the "circus" we here in America call Christmas Day or Black Friday, i.e. the day right after Thanksgiving.
I mean people, watch out!
(P.S. Don't forget your cash, credit cards or checkbooks and kiss your credit ratings goodbye!)
Stand back!
(P.S. Be prepared to be in debt for months!)
Also be prepared for loud yelling and seeing parent's of all races, creeds, ages and sizes engage in tugs of war to the death!
For example..................
"Hey, let go of that tacky flash in the pan toy, I saw it first! No, you didn't, it's mine!"
Omigod to these people!
Get a life and a book on the true meaning of Christmas!
I'll tell ya' as a kid growing up in the seventies, even back then in my opinion, Christmas was commercialized even though in all fairness we didn't have a name for it.
But today it's totally out of control!
I mean, businesses, singletons, parents, kids we're all to blame.
I mean couldn't we start a new tradition this Christmas by:
first, trying to stay within our budgets when it comes to buying Christmas presents this year and not making big business richer than they already are, second, making it a priority to spend time with our families and friends, third, volunteering and doing selfless acts and fourth, try to remind ourselves and our children of the true meaning of Christmas.
I mean is that so much to ask?
After all, it really is only a minimal request that won't break the wallet.
