Cattle Indians and the privileged Indians
Of course, it has been the stark reality of the Indian society, not only today but throughout our long history, that the class being at the helm of the society and is part of the ruling milieu, has always considered the rest of the Indians as not deserving much respect and privilege.

The common Indians have never got their due share in the resources of the land and have always been used by the so called power brokers as their subservient. The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mr. Shashi Tharoor has dared to call even to the upper middle class Indians (air travelers are normally high income group Indians) as cattle, traveling in the economy class.
What his view may be about the Indians who even cannot afford a reserved ticket in sleeper class of trains or those who cannot even afford to travel by any means? Those are possibly flies and mosquitoes in the opinion of the people like him. The Indians are traditionally tought to be tolerant and passive to the suppressive behaviour of their mentors and masters and due to this they have developed a docile but deceptive character.
In order to get some undue advantage and favour, most of the Indians are either misguided, befooled or carried away by the politicians. We are also least reactive to the oppressive and exploitative behaviour of the government officials.
Instead of putting a resistance to a wrongful and oppressive act, we try to tolerate them, thinking that our own interests may be harmed if we oppose, and even, sometimes, we come out to support them in order to get some personal benefit.
The politicians and civil servants who come from a very ordinary background where they were themselves subjected to the social oppression and exploitation, after getting into the system of government, become the part of the exploiting class and hardly care for the class of people whom they belong to.
We can see the life style of the politicians and the bureaucrats and compare it with the living standard of a hardworking and honest common Indian who is not engaged in the deception, dishonesty and manipulations. Without any genuine and much valuable constructive contribution to the nation and the society, these politicians and officials are enjoying such a luxurious and comfortable life with huge delux residential accommodations, luxury vehicles and massive security by abusing the resources of the country that even those who are really working for the advancement of the country can never imagine for.
Our scientists, honest academicians and technical experts and other rarely but really existing well wishers of the nation and the people who are genuinely thinking and willing to work for the national development are neglected and disregarded.
