Eight Florida teenagers have been arrested and charged with the battery and false imprisonment of 16-year-old Victoria Lindsay.
Lindsay, a popular honor student and cheerleader at Mulberry High School was lured to one of the teens homes on March 30, 2008 by her friends so they could film the beating and post it onto the video sharing site, You Tube.
Six girls engaged in the brutal attack that lasted for 35 minutes, while two boys stood watch outside the home. Even after Lindsay lost consciousness the senseless violence continued. The frightened victim did not fight back and attempted to leave the residence, but was blocked by the group of teens.
Victoria Lindsay’s parents are outraged and believe that the incident began when someone hacked into their daughter’s MySpace account.
Lindsay received multiple injuries as the result of the beating, including temporary loss of vision and hearing, and is currently too afraid to return to school.

I agree, it is becoming a very dangerous trend. The old fashioned school yard fight is bad enough but the fact that kids are now actually planning it out so that it can be a YouTube hit makes me sick.
I know, I started crying when I watched the video, the girl was so scared and just wanted to leave, it’s horrible.
What freaked me out is that one of my daughters ”friends” hacked into my daughters hotmail chat account and did the same sort of thing, insulting the others trying to start something.
This sort of crap is becoming way too common, and it’s scary. Kids are using technology to bully each other.
And yes, the jerks should definitely serve time!
In my opinion, everyone of these jerks should be put behind bars.
