Martha Karua told Kenyans not to take her opponents seriously. Although they had dismissed her interest in the race, she said she would pull a surprise of a kind never seen before in the history of Kenya.
She says after 20 years in politics, she knows exactly how to play it. And she emphasizes that those dismissing her should not be minded, because she will shock them in 2012.
The minister said she is determined to get to the top, arguing that she would not let her gender to be used against her.
Assistant ministers Danson Mungatana and Asman Kamama, and Lamu West MP Fahim Twaha from PNU declared they would support the minister’s presidential bid in 2012.
